Meet Harlan Sanford
Harlan is not a politician, he’s your next-door neighbor, that believes in every day Americans.
Harlan has done just about everything. His working career started when he was young doing yard work for neighbors. He then was a neighborhood paper boy delivering to the Bakersfield area. His first job, at a location, was working as a box boy at a local market. He has done a variety of jobs and is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and do whatever is necessary.
He and his wife had two group homes for the developmentally disabled in a suburb of Bakerfield, California. Harlan completed all of the necessary paperwork required by the state and negotiated contracts with local pharmacies.
Harlan worked for the county probation department for 27 1/2 years. During this time, he worked every part of the probation department including being a court officer and advising the court as to current law, he was an armed officer
Harlan was the first Person in his family to graduate with a four-year degree from any college.
He was a trainer for a neighboring county. Prior to that, he functioned as both a real estate agent and worked for a local property management firm. After retiring from law-enforcement, he did background checks for the county probation department in addition to working as campus security for local high schools. In his retirement, he also runs a local painting contractor.
As a child of the 60s, Harlan understands what the American dream can be. His family moved to the area in 1960 from Texas and his grandfather was a poor dirt farmer who could barely make a living and was not too proud to take available work. He would go to church every Sunday evening and worked various jobs to make ends meet. His father was in leadership at two local churches.
Although the family was eligible for government help, they would not ask for it. Harlan‘s mother would watch children at their home to raise extra money. She did this before becoming a head clerk at a nearby hospital specializing in dealing with billing regarding Medi-Cal and Medicare. As children of the depression, they knew what hard work was about.
As our next president, Harlan will stand up to the ideas that are not in our best interest, and will try and return this great nation to as close as possible to the articles that our founding fathers used to create the declaration of independence.
Our States should have more autonomy. Instead, our government tries to weaken us by threatening us and making us feel dependent on them. That will never do. Don’t tread on us.
Please join Harlan and restoring this great nation to what it was established for.
